Dixie Belle Stains, Glaze & Decretive products

No Pain Gel Stain is an oil-based gel stain that provides deep and rich coverage for furniture surfaces.

Apply one or more than one coat for a darker finish.

Please note: Our No Pain Gel Stain is oil based, and will require additional dry time.

  • Stain can be applied with a lint-free cloth, paint brush or applicator pad.
  • Allow 72 hours before staining on fresh paint.
  • Apply stain and wipe back excess.
  • Provides deep, full coverage.

Voodoo Gel Stain

This stain is water based and is a little more translucent than the No Pain Gel Stain.

  • You can use all of our stains on painted or unpainted surfaces.
  • Both stains can be applied with a “lint free” cloth or you can use a paint brush or paint sponge.
  • Start out with a small amount and then apply more depending on the shade you are looking for. Remember that less is more. We suggest testing it on a non-conspicuous spot first.
  • Remember that VooDoo Gel Stain is water based and will dry faster than No Pain Gel Stain, which is oil based.

Sea Spray Create a chippy, textured and weathered look with Sea Spray, an all natural, texture additive.

Mix two scoops of Sea Spray with 8 oz of the Dixie Belle Paint. If needed mix another 1/2 scoop until you achieve a thick, brownie batter-like consistency.

Using a brush, dab and smooth the bristles to form crests and peaks, just like ocean waves. Once tacky, gently brush down the crests and peaks, calming the seas and creating texture. You can also leave as is, keeping the seas stormy!

For more dimension, add a glaze or another paint color with or without Sea Spray. Learn more on the Dixie Belle Paint Company Blog.

This bag of Sea Spray is enough for two quarts of paint. The measuring scoop is included with the bag.

Please Note: We recommend proper breath and eye protection when using this product because of its powder consistency.

Dixie Dirt Give your project an authentic, grimy layer with Dixie Dirt!

We recommend first applying our Best Dang Wax and allowing 5-10 minutes for it to tack up. Then, brush Dixie Dirt over the surface, especially the nooks and crannies.

Colors

Ash: The original Dixie Dirt color; a soft and muted gray

Earth: A warm, Earthy brown

Charcoal: Black as the night sky

Crackle easily creates that aged, cracked effect on your project.

The cracking process begins as the paint dries.

Use on corners of your piece to add subtle character or on an entire piece for a bold crackled look!

Gemstone Mouse Water based Highly Pigmented Rich, creamy texture Perfect for some added bling!

Glazes

This is where the fun really begins! Want to add depth and dimension to a flat piece? Dixie Belle Glaze finishes do just that!
  • Give the Clear Coat a couple hours to dry (or you can glaze first and then Clear coat).
  • Be sure the glaze is mixed really well.
  • Working in sections, use a chip brush or sponge brush and start applying the glaze to your liking.
  • If you are working with a piece with lots of nooks and crannies/carvings, work the glaze in to make those details pop.
  • If you would like less glaze, simply wipe off with a damp rag or paper towel.
