If your looking for a fun way to get creative why not try one of the workshops or paint classes. If your keen to turn your old drab furniture into a new modern look than this is the place for you.
Workshops are run out of the shop in gorgeous bush surroundings at Lisarow on the Central Coast of NSW.
If you love being out doors we also move into the garden area for our BYO workshops. This is where we prep and complete our project pieces. If the weather conditions are extreme we simply roll our class over to another date. I will personally be in touch prior to the class. So be prepared with hats and sunblock on warmer days. Although we do use covers for shade id rather you be prepared. Bring a packed lunch. Morning tea is provided. Coffee, tea and juice provided.
With our beautiful Dixie Belle paints and finishes paint range on hand and all materials provided. Our small classes and workshops will give you the opportunity to get the most you can of each one. Each class has been tailored to suit from the beginner to those who just want to hone in or improve on their skills.
Come to you workshop loaded with questions, be open to learning new styles. Bring a friend and don’t forget to pay online to secure your spot. These are non refundable so choose carefully. Of course if the weather isn’t great we will roll your workshop over to the next available class.
Beginners BYO class using Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint. Bring a small piece of timber furniture, like a chair, plant stand, side table. You will learn from prep to finish. You will be able to complete a piece of furniture on the day. Here you will learn about the difference between chalk paint and mineral paint. Problems you may encounter with furniture. What top coats to use with each paint and get to practice with the paint. So it is a hands on class. Come loaded with questions. I keep the classes small as this allows time for me to give you the one on one time that each of you deserve. Don’t worry about bringing paints or tools, as I’ll provide you all the materials which we use on the day. There is also opportunity to purchase at the end of the class.
This is a 3 hour class. Morning tea provided and bring a packed lunch. You will be given a workshop kit on the day with your favourite colour in an 8oz pot.
BYO small furniture for our Silk all in one mineral paint class. Our all in one Silk mineral paint is great for achieving a straight finish to achieve a Hamptons style or Beachy look.
Bring your own small piece of furniture which you must be able to carry in. Solid timber if possible A chair, a side table, plant stand or stool are just some ideas. No large pieces please as you'll need to able to finish your piece and take it with you at the end of the day. You will learn how to clean, and prep your piece, then of course paint and stain. If you can sand the top of your piece before the workshop it will help a lot. You don’t want to spend the whole class sanding. Otherwise bring it along and you can paint the top instead.
Again there is an opportunity to purchase products at the end of the workshop. This is a 3 hour workshop. Afternoon tea is provided. Bring a water bottle and a packed lunch. You will be given a workshop pack and can choose your favourite Silk colour and one colour stain to use on the day.
Funk your truck is a super fun creative workshop. Bring with you a small truck or camphor box, a hard case suitcase, crate or anything that resembles a timber box. Here we will get our colour on. Stripe it, stencil it, choose a style like beachy, shabby chic, French or match your home colours. Let your imagination run wild. Check out Pinterest for some inspiration. Come along bring a friend and enjoy the fun. This is a 3 hour class. Afternoon tea is provided bring a water bottle.
Paint Parties are run on a week day or evening in summer. Its just to get together with other like minded people to have a bit of fun painting together. There is an opportunity to purchase paint and brushes but i do ask that you bring your own equipment for this one. This is not a teaching class. It's just a bit of fun and friendship. You will need to bring, sandpaper, dusting brush, Cloths, jars, paint, brushes. You must be able to carry your piece in on your own. What ever you think you will need to complete your piece. If you want to meet new people come along. Its a 2 hour get together so a small project would be ideal and you will need to take your piece home with you. Bring your snacks, water bottle and a packed lunch.
If you need to purchase products come 1/2 an hour early so we can get your buys out of the way before the party begins.
Stencil and Transfer class - Ever wondered how artist use transfers and create the perfect stencil ?
Let me show you how. This class is a great craft style class. I’ll provide everything you need to create something beautiful for your home. Each class will be different but our popular classes will come around again and again.
You will get to choose from a few different stencils. I’ll show you how to create the perfect stencil.
You’ll use sections of Prima transfers and be taught about placement and application get the most out of using the transfers across multiple projects.
Parent and Child school holidays BYO small furniture workshop Wondering what to do with the kids on the holidays. Get creative at one of our school holidays projects. So the class is for a parent and one child 8-18. You can bring a project for the two of you or have one each. It’s up to you. Each parent must be responsible for their own child.
Keep your furniture small as the kids do tend to take a bit longer to complete their work. Bring a water bottle with a packed lunch.
These classes are for adults. Although we love kids and pets we ask that you have them minded in your own home. There are opportunities for kids classes run in the school holidays so keep an eye out for competitions for kids and kids workshops.
Lastly let’s get together and have a great time. All classes are on the Central Coast at Lisarow.
